Launched in Spring 2007, Bikeability is the award scheme for the delivery of national standard cycle training. Our Partnership scheme is registered with the Cycle Training Standards Board and only uses fully qualified trainers for delivery.
The aim of the programme is to train Year 5/6 children (10years and over) up to a Level 2 standard, improving their overall skills and confidence. Successful pupils receive a badge, certificate and Bikeability booklet.
Since January 2008 we have trained nearly 1000 children throughout the Partnership. We now have a team of 5 fully qualified Bikeability Instructors delivering training across the Partnership and our schools have requested 700 places for this academic year.
