Warbstow Primary School is celebrating today after receiving a grant for £5,570 on behalf of all the fourteen feeder primary schools to Launceston College that are in the Callington School Sports Partnership!
Their recent application for £5,570 has been approved by the Awards for All Lottery scheme that provides grants for local groups. The grant has provided a Tri Golf bag for each primary school and given each school the opportunity to access golf sessions as an after school club. The grant's aim is to build strong links with Trethorne Golf Club and Launceston Golf Club. The project will promote golf in the community and will be delivered by Robert Moore, the professional at Trethorne, and John Tozer and Robert Woodgates the professionals at Launceston Golf Club. Both clubs will also host Golf Academies for those children showing a particular interest or talent for golf.
