We ran our first course in 2020-2021 where 11 very keen teachers and teaching assistants joined us at STERTS Centre near Liskeard for the four days. The feedback from the course was very positive with all the attendees feeling they were now in a position to lead on outdoor learning at their school- have an Intent statement in place as well as knowing how to implement it and measure the impact of outdoor learning at their school. They also have a curriculum map drawn up for their school for Outdoor Learning and felt upskilled with their own personal outdoor learning skills, such as advanced knife skills, foraging for medicinal means and eating wild, wattle and daub, identification and a range of fire techniques.
